New Beginnings

Chunk

chunkSo, let me tell you about Chunk. At first, Chunk was a bit wary, as he had been re-homed several times already. You should have seen the sad look he gave his foster mom and his brother, Willie, as we drove away with him. At first, and for some months to come, Chunk was fearful of my husband, Bob, although he was always kind to him.

Well, fast-forward to the present, and Chunk is much loved, and loves us back whole heartedly. Chunk and his sister Muffin, follow our Melissa everywhere, she calls them her “kids.” (They follow and curl up with me when Melissa is not around- so I am so I am second choice! LOL) They sleep with her in bed nightly, of course, often under the covers. Chunk spends his days constantly with Muffin and Scottie Boo. They wrestle and play both indoors and out whenever they are not curled up together sleeping. We all adore Chunk, and the feeling is mutual! He really is a Chunk of Love, as his foster mommy, Melissa Edelman named him when he was a new pup. Whenever we pick Chunk up, he twists around so he is facing you, and puts him arms around our necks for a hug. Muffin has this goofy grin, while Chunk has a more serious look. One day, I dubbed him President Woodrow Wilson as he regarded me with that serious look of his. Missy looked up a picture of president Wilson, and we nearly died laughing when we found that Chunk actually did sort of resemble him. When I look at Chunk curled up in a pile with Muffin napping, it truly does feel meant to be. He will never be “re-homed” again!

Thanks for all you do.

Pug hugs,

Candy, Bob, Melissa, Chunk and Muffin!

Toby

tobySince adopting our beautiful black pug, Toby, we are happier than ever.  He quickly became part of our family.  At the beggining it took a little for our Betsy to get used to seeing Toby getting attention (she was a little jealous) but now she is over it and they are good friends.

Toby is a funny and energetic boy.  You will see the kids running after him because he stole a shoe or a sock from their room and will refuse to give it back, it is so much fun to watch!!  Another thing he loves to do is ride in the car.  When he hears the keys he is the first one at the door.  I take him with me almost everywhere I go.

Thanks to CPR I have a wonderful pet that loves me and follows me everywhere.  My experience with CPR has been nothing but wonderful.  No one cares more for these pugs than CPR and they are doing a wonderful job!  Thank you Marcia and CPR for all your help in the process.  We will definitely talk to our friends and family about CPR.  I hope you like our pictures.

Rosie

rosieRosie is just so wonderful, kind, smart, and beautiful!  I just adore her!  Rosie is making my life so fulfilled again. I think my beloved pugs, that have already gone ahead, really approve of her. Every little pug has such a different personality. Each one has something so special that we will always remember. I miss them so much, but Rosie is carrying on in their memory. I am so blessed to have met her and Compassionate Pug Rescue.

Thanks again for bringing us together!

Sherman

shermanWe just love Sherman already.  He settled right into our home without a problem.  The first couple of days that we went to work were a little hard on him.

We took Sherman to our vet last week.  The doctor’s first response upon meeting Sherman was “Why would someone give this dog up?”

Sherman is a very sweet and well mannered dog.  He is excellent on the leash. LOVES to go for walks.  He does not jump up on strangers and hasreally buddied up to my friends 3 year old son, Ethan.  The photo is attached.  They are laying on the couch together.

I cannot thank you and your efforts with CPR enough for such a great match. It feels great to know that there are folks out there like you and yourvolunteers that take the time out of your busy lives to help these poor animals out.  We have told everyone who meets Sherman about CPR. Hopefully his adorable charm will influence some new adoptive parents to a pug’s forever home.

Thanks again!

Happy Rescuing,

Molly and Rick.
